Last Christmas I gave you my heart

So yesterday was a fun-filled day. Met up with the canteen gang members (hah) for the not-so-solemn birthday ceremony of Ong! 80s themed. Let's play pictionary shall we?

The invite. Designed by none other than our talented Sara-Jean! Kissy kiss.

Yucks I don't know what I was thinking with the electric blue stocking things.. But they all liked it. Goodnight pals.

The best party ever despite some, er, hiccups. I love the canteen gang!

Why did the principal fire the cross-eyed teacher?

Because he couldn't control his pupils, that's why!

O-k, you guys stop rolling your eyes already!! Some of you may be trying (to no avail) to resist my charming sense of humour. Resistance is futile, I'd say.

Anyway I feel so bad that Boris Yeltsin died.. I mean after all the dude opened Russian economy.. Without him we would never hear of Sasha Pivovarova. Or even Irina (the satellite states). Actually, maybe we are giving these historical figures too much credit, you think? We always say, "he's the father of communism" or like "without Hitler the Holocaust would never have taken place". Wouldn't there be another guy that comes along and do something horrible even if Hitler hadn't been born? He was supposed to be aborted or something right? Or was that Einstein. Okay whatever.

Hopefully udang penyet tomorrow with the PPs. Not the PekPeks la what were you thinking.

I don't know what to title this post

Hah! I've been speaking to people I wouldn't have thought of.. Reconnecting with. The first time talking to people I haven't seen/spoken to in EIGHT years. Since I was ten. So I am a very happy bitch indeed. I love you Jacqueline Ingrid Christine Jane Gracia Ivy Lisye. None of you would read this shit I am writing, but I just want to proclaim my love for you out loud. I know they'll always be there for me no matter what. I am a cheeseball but really... They get my drift. I hope.

Anyway you all! I know you all read my blog so it'll be nice if you tag once in a while! Assholes make me feel so unread. Please book me for outings ASAP (inflate mine ego) as we won't have many more chances to, flying off 6th May!

I am SO LOOKING FWD TO ONG'S AND CAL'S PARTIES YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

/edit
The very dim side to my side of the story is that... I didn't win any eagerly awaited Toto prize today.

Only bad soldiers don't want to be General

There was a time that I gorged on maguro sashimi. But nowadays looking at the maroon flesh makes me want to hurl. There was also a time that I ate so much Island Creamery ice cream, pulut hitam nutella banana whatnot. Now, no urge to eat it whatsoever.

I think that's how life is, isn't it? Not sad, not regrettable also lah. People move on faster than the Shinkansen travels. Earlier today Jiawen said she met Sam on her way to Holland V. And suddenly I realised I haven't seen Sam in months. Well, I haven't spoken to her properly in 2 years. Or something. O the Bond! (insert snigger).

Do you remember "white ppt", "never see her shadow before", chili flavoured straw, Susan Chan's eating house? Or "Wah Jiawen I've never shopped for others until so tired before leh". And the cap sleeve incident.. It all seemed like so long ago.

Bury the hatchet.

Maybe seriously, it's really gonna be just the few of us in the end.. He was right.

I'm leaving for Indonesia in two weeks.

At this point, the only thing that I am capable of creating feeling and spreading is fatigue.

These songs that we sing, do they mean anything to the people we're singing them to?

The good, the bad. The human mind will delete these memories soon enough.

We do these things to ourselves

1) My prayers are with the Virginia Tech shooting victims!

2) "You guys are so pathetic you know, almost like me and my pathetic friends", said David the asshole oh I mean art teacher.

3) My mom's anxiety about everything (messy room, bags, me coming home late) is not helping.

That's about everything in a nutshell. For those who bother to check in here.

High & Dry

Anyway the days have kind of er passed by in a flash. There isn't anything to say, really. Just damn tired and PMS-y and stuff. On the bright side Adel and I bought 4D.. Hope we win. Her draw date is today and mine is tomorrow. Hmmm even if I win, only can win like $100 plus. That calls for a celebration!

Last night we sang Blackbird Jesse McCartney style and died laughing.

And it was Friday the 13th. Perhaps that's why bad luck was all abound, followed us around? (Sorry, couldn't resist). Today is another day though! Saturday the 14th.. But my mom and dad say they are coming today o-oh. to view some apartment that they want to buy, only 3 units left, ooh-er!

Okay now why don't we all watch a little show with her royal hotness Irina Lazareanu bust 80 waist 61 hips 88. Go and die lah this kind of measurements might as well be a flat chested twelve year old boy. But I still <3 you Irina! (How convenient to use a good song for this video).

Oh and another one for your viewing pleasures only. And yeah the boys (or Jiawen) can think of a few things to do while watching this.

(does she make y-oh h-arht flu'errrr?)

Le Petit Prince

Having recently unearthed my copy of The Little Prince, I decided to type a few chapters here. I am bored, and I feel like imparting some wisdom (borrowed wisdom I mean) from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

III

It took me a long time to discover where he came from. The little prince, who asked me so many questions, seemed never to hear the ones I asked him. It was from chance words, dropped here and there, that all was revealed to me. For instance, when he noticed my aeroplane for the first time (I am not going to draw my aeroplane; it would be far too complicated for me), he said:
'What is that thing over there?'
'That is not a thing. It flies. It's an aeroplane. It's my aeroplane.'
And I was proud to have him know that I could fly. At which he cried out:
'What! So you fell from the sky?'
'Yes,' I answered demurely.
'Well! How very funny...'
And the little prince broke into a charming peal of laughter, which I found greatly irritating. For I like my misfortunes to be taken seriously. Then he added:
'You too, then, come from the sky! Which planet are you from?'
Suddenly I had a glimmer of understanding into the mystery of his presence here, and I quizzed him sharply:
'So you came from another planet?'
But he made no reply. He merely shook his head gently, looking all the while at my aeroplane.
'No, you can't have come very far on that thing...'
And he fell into a long reverie. Then, taking my drawing out of his pocket, he became lost in the contemplation of his treasure.

You can imagine how intrigued I was by this half-confidence about 'other planets'. I did my utmost, therefore, to find out more.
'Where are you from, then, little fellow? Where is this "where I live" that you mention? Where do you want to take my sheep?'
After a reflective silence, he answered:
'The best thing about the box you've given me is that at night he can use it as his house.'
'Of course. And if you are good, I will give you a rope to tether him with during the day. And a post to tether him to.'
This proposal seemed to shock the little prince.
'Tether him? What an odd idea!'
'But if you don't tether him, he may go anywhere and end up lost.'
And my friend burst out laughing once more.
'But where do you imagine he would go?'
'Anywhere, straight ahead of him.'
At which the little prince remarked solemnly:
'That won't matter; where I come from it's so very small!'
Then, with perhaps a hint of sadness, he added:
'Straight ahead does not take anyone very far...'

Okay so that marks the end of the third chapter (Me likey likey very mucho). Chapter six below.

VI

Ah, little prince! So it was, gradually, that I came to understand your melancholy little life! For a long time your only pleasure had been to watch the gently setting sun. I learned this new detail on the morning of the fourth day, when you said to me:
'I am very fond of sunsets. Let's go this moment and look at a sunset.'
'But we shall have to wait...'
'Wait for what?'
'Wait until it's a time for the sun to set.'
At first you seemed very taken aback. Then you laughed at yourself and said:
'I still keep thinking I'm at home!'
Just so. For as everyone knows, when it is noon in the United States the sun is setting over France. If you could get to France in a twinkling, you could watch a sunset right now. Unfortunately France is rather to far away. But on your tiny planet, little prince, you had only to move your chair a few steps. You could watch night fall whenever you liked.
'One day,' you said, 'I watched the sunset forty-three times!'
And a little later you added:
'You know, when one is that sad, one can get to love the sunset.'
'Were you that sad, then, on the day of the forty-three sunsets?'
But the prince made no answer.

My (not-so) New Love

Today was quite a stoned day. I finally bought 5:55 by Charlotte Gainsbourg!!!!!! And I must say it's really pretty damn good.

Right now I am busy feeling disturbed by Lemon Incest, the song she and her father Serge Gainsbourg dueted on. Watch below if you dare:

Anyway she's damn gorgey and her new songs are.... Really good. Below is the only good video of Songs that We Sing, from her new album 5:55.

Oh well. Hope you all like the videos.

P/S: my friend Ingrid from the Third World is coming tomorrow! So I'll be a bit preoccupied okay. Lubschu all.

Party Planning with David Tutera, er, Stella Khoeswoyo

Past few days, nothing interesting happened, haven't really accomplished much. So there isn't anything to blog about. Except that on the Mondays with Stella session with Ong Cup and Tha yesterday, it suddenly dawned on me that Ong's birthday is like.. 25 days away!!! I got really excited, and naturally must take control HAHAHA so we're having an 80s themed party at my loft! (sorry, couldn't resist)

Then, not so long after, it dawned on me again that Calista's birthday is one day after Ong's! So we are having another party. Except that Cal hasn't decided on a theme yet...................

I think I'll make a superb planner. Better than that less-than-nothing-turd David Tutera. God, you won't ever hear me say, "I think that sand art is a really convenient and beautiful piece for a party! It's just so classy! And easy, too!! Look, so you just till the container to your left... And stack the pink sand on top of the yellow layer... Voila!". Or "Just cut these paper flags and paste them on the candles, and you get a pretty nautical themed decoration for a VERY low price!!"

You get my drift.

Anyway I want to use this opportunity to.. Hmm tell Jiawen and Q that I miss them! But very mushy and private so I'll save it for another day. Or maybe I shall email them? AWWW can't wait for 28th and 29th!

"I'm so glad to be in your pack".
